Hello! I’m Katie, I’m an illustrator based in Brighton, UK. My work has a strong focus on character and visual storytelling, and I am fascinated by world-building for fiction. I like to explore themes, issues and ideas such as the climate crisis, gender and sexuality, folklore, sci-fi and magic-realism within my work.
Most of my work starts with a traditional pen-and-paper drawing which I combine with bold colours and texture in Photoshop. I also work with more tactile print processes such as risograph and lino printing.
I am an Illustration with Animation graduate with first-class honours from Manchester School of Art, currently studying on the Sequential Design Masters at the University of Brighton.
I am looking for illustration work in editorial, publishing, corporate and advertising realms.
